It's worth a try though.Cassel won't fare any better.
I'd rather give Cassel a shot rather than waste another 3 hours watching Weeden check passes down to McFadden.

You have to try but I dont think its going to matter in the long run. He should fare better than Weeden but I really think we shot ourselves in the foot letting Callahan go. Should have mended the fences there because that line is not blocking. It's worth a try though.

I seriously doubt he would have got a fair shot here, we'd see him for one touch like Michael and then it'd be right back to Randle/DmacAnother personnel decision that is killing us is the Cowboys decision to not even entertain the idea of signing Chris Johnson. As if they were stacked at the RB position.
Meanwhile Johnson is tearing it up in Arizona.
We don't know that... Weeden has proven 3 straight games that even when the defense keeps him in the game he is going to suck out loud. I'm willing to give Cassel a shot.Cassel won't fare any better.
It sucks, but I'm not sure how the coaches can't see just how bad he is. I don't care if you hate Randle, he is just the far superior RB. Just as he starts getting into a rhythm we seem to pull him for McFadden who just sucks out loud. I'm to the point where I really see no use for McFadden in this offense. Well except to throw way too many balls at on down and distances that he won't convert. Is it bad of me to hope that McFadden gets hurt?
It's sad that we wasted such a great pass rushing effort out of this defense. If our offense is even respectable against the Patriots (Enough to at least rest the defense) we probably see them score half the points, which would have been impressive. We don't know that... Maybe, but I'm not even sure I would say that. Particularly if you factor in pass catching.Randle isn't far superior than McFadden. He is just less suckier.
At least there's a history of Cassel being decent. It's a no brainer to put him in after the bye week.Yeah the problem is Cassel is terrible. There is a reason why he was cut by the Bills after being beaten by two other terrible QBs. All reports out of Bills camp were that Cassel looked real bad.
Weeden is trash but I'm concerned that Cassel is real bad too.
I think I had rather go with Moore if all the game plan is going to be dink and dunk. He is really good at that type game. It's worth a try though.

Agreed. Cassel had at least shown in the past that he's capable of playing well as a starter whereas Weeden had pretty much struggled since Day 1 in the NFL.At least there's a history of Cassel being decent. It's a no brainer to put him in after the bye week.
Yeah I hate to say it but Moore has always been known as a heady QB. If we want someone who knows the offense and can make adjustments at the line and dink and dunk his way down the field Moore makes some sense. Our coaches don't have the balls to do that though. They gave up a fifth rounder to get Cassel and you know they will feel the need to play him next regardless of how bad he is.I think I had rather go with Moore if all the game plan is going to be dink and dunk. Again, this is one of the most conservative, risk-averse people you'll ever see. Was telling a buddy of mine I actually thought there could be a change at halftime, but then I remembered what coach I was talking about and realized that inserting a QB who hadn't had a week's worth of snaps with the ones would never happen. It's just not in his RAM to do something like that. And Fuck Garrett and his QB change at the bye. Instead of sitting on your ass watching the team take guaranteed losses under Weeden, how about making a damn adjustment in the game.
Give yourself a chance to win, for crying out loud.
For the life of me I just don't understand why he'd rather take the loss rather than making an actual adjustment. The offense is listless under Weeden and not a single adjustment is made to shake things up.
Actually Cassell was brought in to be insurance to Weeden. The game has changed now and there will have to be a decision whether to dump Weedin in the future. I don't think they are there yet. This is why they brought Cassel in.
And it really doesn't matter much.
Cassel can't replace Romo, Dez, Murray, and Callahan.
They basically gave up a 7th for Michael and they are barely using him, so I don't think that is it.Yeah I hate to say it but Moore has always been known as a heady QB. If we want someone who knows the offense and can make adjustments at the line and dink and dunk his way down the field Moore makes some sense. Our coaches don't have the balls to do that though. At this point the one certainty should be that Weeden needs to be out. Either the coaches have no faith in him or he has no faith in himself but a game plan of 10 + dump off passes to McFadden is just silly and isn't going to win many games.
