As an everyday DCCer, I wonder if my views on the Cowboys are extremely myopic, cultish even, as we just reinforce each other's opinions.

What's most interesting about MacGruder's videos is that he does express a lot of the same deep criticisms we do.
You're an every day DCCer because you don't homer out blindly like certain people at other sites. That MacGruder video pretty much sums up what I said in the gameday thread in a nutshell and that's why I LMAO. It sounded just like me only in a few minutes instead of a few hours. Minus the Cowboys gear, that is.

Winning makes all the above far worse than losing, that's for sure.

This behavior was never more evident than last season when Dak and Beasley each became everyone's best buds. The Dak cult was crazy... impenetrable by even the coldest logic.

The Dak cult is still kind of crazy. But slowly people are seeing a little more clearly.

Last year was out of control. God forbid I pointed out that Dak wasn't particularly good against Minnesota, or the Giants, or a chunk of the SF game, or most of the eagles game. Last year that brought on a feeding frenzy of stats and irrationality.

God forbid we suggest we'd probably have been better off going back to Romo. Hell just saying it now might flip a couple people out.

I remember you, LT, and Schmitty saw reason and along with me got flamed for it.

It was a bit shocking to see this board turn that way, but I guess we're all only human.

Me, glutton for punishment that I am, kept posting that it made no sense.

Booze stayed almost completely out of it. Guess he could see the insanity and knew best not to test those waters.

Like I said earlier there is no way to prove any of this one way or the other. Honestly don't know why its still an issue.

Yeah or you line up in a running formation and run the ball. And then you don't have to worry about the blitzing safety. But no, that's too simple.

Of course it didn't help that Bailey went to shit and missed some easy field goals.

Sounds like Linehan is blaming the RPO plays.

And fuck this shit blaming Bailey. If you are relying on FG kickers to be perfect, you are a goddamn idiot. If you do it as a head coach, which Garrett has for years, you just completely suck.

The name of the game is scoring TDs. Not just "points". Situationally with the games best RB and supposedly the best OL, you put it on them to make it happen.

Sounds to me we have a trust issue with the players, then try to get arrogant and clever and then when that trickery fucks up, you still blame anyone else other than your own scheme and your own in-game decisions.

That is just cowardice and the actions of a loser.

Linehan is right of course. Easy to criticize in hindsight, and who knows what Dak saw presnap.

Bottom line that play isn’t why we lost, ane lost this season several hundred poorly called/executed plays back.

If Atlanta wins, that entire game won’t have even mattered.

The problem was not the RPO on 1st down, it was the dumb fucking pass play-call on 2nd after the 1st down play.

I'm guessing these idiot coaches basically treat an RPO play call as a run play.

Amen...If Carr doesn’t fumble into the end zone it’s all one huge moot point. This team was garbage and undeserving of the playoffs (especially with a hobbled Tyron Smith). I don’t blame Dak either...OL wasn’t good, playcalling was awful, and we don’t have playmaking WRs. Dak will never be a top 5 qb but he can definitely win in this league...were not talking Weeden or Cassell here

Exactly right. Look at the Seattle game. We scored 4 times and they scored 3. But they got touchdowns and we didn't. That's the difference right there.

Yep that and we turned the ball over 3 times and I don't think they turned the ball over at all. That's how you can totally outplay a team and still lose a game.
