You certainly think you are.
You're a smart guy, but on stuff like this you come off as a real retard.
You certainly think I am.
There is no harm in the name "Washington Redskins." It's not used in a disparaging way. The Indian depicted on the helmet is drawn in a classy way, not mocking Native American features. A federal court even found that was the case. On top of that, polls show that most Indians don't even care about the name.
So yeah, I claim the superior argument over pot-stirrers who are no different than Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. I feel completely competent in telling those two idiots and their followers that their opinions should be invalidated. The same goes for the Native Americans... um.... spearheading the effort to get the Redskins to change their name.
They have no argument other than their own claims that they are offended, which as far as I can tell are based on no actual harm done to them except centuries old bad feelings that they won't let go of, which they are now trying to force guilt on white people by shaming them into changing cherished mascots in the name of social justice.
Their motives are transparent and I am actually offended by their attempts to shame me. So I think that these groups should be banned because I am offended.
