Love is about the only offensive player I think we'd have to seriously consider if available when we pick.

Maybe Mauigoa if we cut Steele.

I guess it all depends on what happens in free agency. Our RB and WR are both free agents and Steele is cuttable at his price. You can probably get the same results for a fraction of the price.

And hey maybe we sign a free agent safety or LBer or something like that. They are usually pretty cheap in free agency. Corners and pass rushers not so much.

But if the roster looks like it does today, I'm not drafting offense.

Of course it all depends on what decisions they make in FA, but I'm talking from a pure value perspective (i.e. guys who I think would be clear, no-brainer BPA's if we're picking around 12-14ish).

My current line of thinking is that if someone like Bailey, Bain or Downs are there, you run the card up no matter what. I don't think any of them are true, bonafide future HoF types, but given our roster and who else is in this draft I think it's a no-brainer if any of them are available in that range.

But if they're all gone and you're looking at a Love vs. Sonny Styles decision, or Mauigoa (if we cut Steele) vs. Keldric Faulk decision?

That's where it starts getting tricky for me, especially with Love who I think would immediately give us a Gibbs/Montgomery dynamic if paired with Williams.

I like Emmanuel McNeil-Warren as the top safety after Downs but I'm not sure any of them warrant going in the first. If we could trade down for a haul into the 40's that'd be a nice spot for one of these guys.

Yeah I think to take a safety other than Downs it needs to be a trade down with that second first. Which might be a good idea anyway.

This. I hope we draft him so Booze will have another hyphen to root for.

I wonder how long he shows up in the mocks as a first rounder until he gets picked on Day 3.
