It was a safe, genteel sitcom for families. It was never supposed to appeal to the hip Seinfeld crowd.
or maybe you didn't care for black, upscale professionals enjoying the good lifeI was literally a kid when it came out. By your logic I should have liked it. But it just sucked.
Furley was the GOAT, but Roper was pretty great in his own right. This is like mistaking Ralph Furley for Stanley Roper.
I said it before, very good. But not for everyone.
The wife and I watch it. It veers a little too far into the “you can’t really be that stupid, again” territory on some characters decisions but fairly solid overall. Some woke storylines and times where they seem to forget where they are going with the storyline.Anyone watch the whole Handmaid's Tale series on Hulu? I am a couple of episodes in and really intrigued. I just wonder if the rest of the series does justice to the book. And, what's funny about ... never mind, I'll save that for a political thread.
I got this feel, too, but what's funny is it absolutely mimics some of the things the left has done during this "pandemic".Some woke storylines
I watched a few seasons. Eventually it just kind of became repetitive and old to me. The inconsistencies in characters eventually started to bother me. And it seems unnecessarily repetitive to me because there were routes the show could have gone but instead they just circled back to the same stuff over and over. At that point my wife continued to watch and I stopped. She still watches the episodes as they come out but I fall asleep anymore.Anyone watch the whole Handmaid's Tale series on Hulu? I just am gun shy about long tv series anymore. Been burned so many times. So I didn't want to spend a lot of time on it if it ended up sucking.I watched a few seasons. My wife has watched it in the past, and she just found out I cancelled Hulu when she tried to watch the latest season.Anyone watch the whole Handmaid's Tale series on Hulu? Fair enough. But, everything they did to us during Covid is illustrated in some manner in that show. From lockdowns to mandates.Political? That's even worse. Tired of that crap in real life.
Assumption on point, my friend!I thought it was a woman's soap opera so have not watched it.
Yeah. That show wears out the current political scene in a big way.Political? That's even worse. Tired of that crap in real life.
