I don't have an alarm clock now. I wake up at 6 (if I sleep that late) every morning without one.

When I was a kid I used to dream of retiring at an early age with millions.

Now that this outcome seems significantly less likely as I approach 40, I do think how happy I am with my current job where I make good money with the possibility for much more once this pandemic ends, and I get to sit home all day and do relatively easy work from a computer.

I could kinda do this forever. Why would I ever give up this salary?

actually been talking about retiring with a bunch of former classmates.
we are considering getting a multiunit in the greater boston area
and a place in asia for the winter
2 of the friends are doctors so we got medical pretty covered
although i dont think i will ever stop working, but many of us already work from remote

I retired got bored and went back to work at a different company as a Defense contractor but also inspected commercial aircraft parts made a bunch of money I'm talking up to 10 times what I was I inspected parts that go on all kinds if military equipment Then retired again with a much larger 401 k and SS check
