I was eating a subway sandwich when two guys in maga hats poured bleach on me and put a noose in my garage. They were wearing masks, but I know they were white because one of them had what appeared to be smeared peanut butter and jelly on his shirt. Looking at Twitter, I guess what the Outragers are holding on to is the FBI said it was a noose. But we know what they're talking about are those knots on every door pull. So either the FBI is a bunch of white collar city boys who don't know what a noose is (only what one kind of looks like) or they are in on creating the outrage.

But Hill and ESPN are running with the "See, even the FBI said it was a noose!" angle to justify their continued outrage. Someone should really get the FBI to clarify this... but again, maybe they don't actually want to.

The actual answer is they don't want to admit they were wrong. I saw Marty Smith who is a Nascar guy, right? He's at least super-southern. But he was as adamant as anyone that this was a noose. And there's no way he doesn't know better if he saw the pictures and read the FBI report.

So it's clear that ESPN just wants to keep the outrage going even though they know this story was all a big farce.
