thats sounds like the smartest thing I've ever heard a government do
It was actually pretty clever, the cops were at an average salary of $170k

Let's see it official and carried out. Good luck.

Especially that end the drug war thing.
dont shoot the messenger, you said nobody has any plan so I was just passing along the tweet.

Also, from what I can tell, Camden, New Jersey had and implemented a plan. Haven't researched enough to know if its been a success as claimed

Camden did an end run around an out of control police union, they fired all of the police and disolved the contract then hired double the number of cops at a lower salary
So they found cheaper labor. That still is not a cure.

But the Union is an issue. I get why cops technically need it, but it has become a hindrance in getting rid of those not fit for the role.

Camden has since let them form another police union but the demands are much more in touch with reality now

Wut? You posted the clip. I never said a blanket statement saying I endorse everything Tucker says. How drunk are you right now?
:lol

Holy shit. I totally missed that. Accuses you of posting Carlson's shit and 'completely' agreeing with him. After he is the one that posted it.

Classic.

I agree, and it applies to all unions

I understand. It isn't perfect, but I would he surprised if that model translated to a large city.

Ok. Somebody explain to me what those scarf things are for. I've been avoiding the news the last couple days. I have no idea.

I don't get how out of the countless interns you know they have no one had the balls to say this would be seen as pandering at best and cultural appropriation at worst

Instead of both political parties trying to score cheap points in the middle of this, why aren’t they coming together and talking about what exactly it is that should be done?

If I’m a black person right now, or whatever race feels slighted at the moment, watching these elitist politicians try and out-do each other would make me even more angry.

Blacks for the most part have given Democrats free reign over their cities across the US. What exactly have they done in the last 50 years to help the situation? I know they’ve given lip service and accused every republican on earth of racism at one time or another. How’s that worked out?

And the Republican Party could do a lot more. They’ve not even really tried outside of calling out democrats for their failures.

The most hated man in America has done more than either party for POC when it comes to jobs, but even he absolute shit for race relations.

It’s probably time to get rid of status quo politicians, and it can start with the leaders of both parties. Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell etc.

Get some people in these positions that don’t hate each other. Who can actually work toward accomplishing things that will help. Neither side has the market cornered on good ideas.

I guarantee you, every single politician on Capital Hill is sweating their collective asses off, praying the next big idea isn’t to get rid of career politicians that keep legislating people into a brick wall.
