I understand how yeah, it is great they got busted inflating the numbers.

But what is very bad is that the narrative will now be spun to that retail theft is not an industry. And that is a real symptom of what is wrong with our society. It is okay for criminals to steal shit now and often that is under the guise of social justice...stick it to the man.

Lookit, I worked in retail in the 1990s. I got the fuck out but trust me, shoplifting was as much way of living back then much less now when the police don't give a shit about petty crime anymore.

I take it personal, because my wife lost her job in a retail store a few years ago because she tried to stop a shoplifter (with the rest of her welfare funded posse) and got fired because of a corporate policy that was poorly communicated about how to handle snatch and grabs like that.

It is all part of the little game that is played. The retailers build shrink into their books, but then now try to fuck around. But the real issue is that organized retail crime is not some sort of myth. Even back in my day, you would see the merchandise turn up at various shady flea markets and "yard sales". Now it is turning up in storage units or even weirder disguised as a thrift store.

Now you will see the organized flash mobs that snatch and grab are going to be minimized and the corporations blamed more because now it is on the national spotlight.

Uh, no, there are still little scumbags thieving.

When will these people realize that antagonizing then posting this kind of interaction does absolutely NOTHING to promote their cause/acceptance? F'n A.

It does get them social media attention, though. That's what really matters.

Besides, I'm sure they expected the guy to cave. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the guys did get in trouble with Delta. :mad

You and I could talk for days on the phone about a lot of this shit. Hell, my wife is tired of hearing about it. She gets sick of me talking politics and stuff. :lol

This shit pisses me off. I feel so bad for a lot of teachers.

My sister, who teaches high school English, had similar stories over the Christmas break. She said she is having serious issues getting them to turn in anything-even the simplest shit. She says they'll take a zero rather than do homework and says the parents are literally no help at all, which isn't surprising, I guess.
