I appreciate that.

I am talking a full on 1970s outfit.

That old insult joke about mama dressing you, that damn woman accomplished that level and got boss points.
Like making shirts from just cloth? I don't think my mom had those skills. Well maybe, seems like she may have made a dress or two for my sister. But not my shirts or pants.

Say that reminds me, am I the only one whose mother stitched clothes? Patches on the knees of jeans?

My mom did that for a while.

My Mom did, too.

When I was around 4yo she even made me a full baseball uniform.

But I liked the patches in my jean knees, wore those bitches with pride!

My Grandma was a seamstress, could make anything with a pattern but also threw shit together freehand all the time.

Wish my daughters learned those skills.

Yep my mom had a sewing machine and would make my costumes and shit when I was little. Not sure people even own those relics anymore.

My Mother in Law sews like a mad woman. I think she has 7 different sewing machines set up and uses. This includes a huge Long Arm Quilting machine. Think it's 12 ft wide and she is constantly making quilts.

She just got back from a retreat where a bunch of women got together to sew/quilt blankets for kids in the hospital. She was a madwoman there. In just 3 days she made 11 herself.

My Grandma made quilts, too.

Fortunately she was still alive when our daughters were born and she made them each an awesome baby quilt.

If I were running Walmart, I would revamp the fabric section right away.

Our Wal-Mart doesn't have a fabric section.
