"Gatekeepers" is such an important point to make.

It's been since the history of forever that, in almost every industry, and certainly every public industry, if you wanted to be a part of it you had to pay fealty to the gatekeepers. And if you didn't tow the exact line that they wanted you to tow you were either out or not let in in the first place.

The Internet, and X, and podcasts have obliterated that now. Because everyone has access to it, everyone has the ability to say or do what they want while bypassing the gatekeepers, and it's financially viable to do as individuals.

And the gatekeepers are PISSED. They don't get to control things anymore.

Too bad. You abused your power and position for far too long. And once people had the ability to see things for what they are, and openly and freely communicate, the veil was lifted and the gatekeepers were discredited for the self serving, greedy, agenda ridden leeches that they are.

See ya bye. Make sure to go fuck yourself on your way out.

Literally everything he said is not true. I appreciate that the news maybe used to be like that back in the day. But it has become a total joke. And to act like it's some esteemed position is just silly. The media doesn't get held liable by some ethics committee they just pander and create propaganda.

I'm not even sure that it used to be like that. We just didn't have the information or ability to know any better.

And this is a reasonable reaction from society. Maybe it will force the media to being more truthful, I doubt it though.

Just do actual journalism. They don't. They get handed talking points by a political party and they all repeat the same shit. It's plain as day. I'm sure it took a lot of research and work and integrity to one day suddenly refer to Trump and Vance as weird on basically every news program. Some real hard hitting journalism right there.

He's full of shit... literally ANYONE who communicates any information (of the 5 "W's") about anything to others is, by the very definition, a "reporter". Timeliness and accuracy, are really the only distinguishing factors of one's credibility.
