But they didn't harass him or make an example of him. They only got like 2 words out and than left. It's volunantary, you don't have to talk to them. But you don't have to be an asshole just because someone asks to talk to you. I wouldn't treat a Jehova Witness that way either for example.

Now that I think about it the world has changed so much. Wasn't that uncommon when I was a kid for someone to knock on the door. Now it's just so uncommon that it almost sends me into a panic when I see someone on my ring doorbell wondering what I did wrong.

Still this guy reminds me so much of these TikTok people who just do stuff intentionally to get the cops called hoping that the cops react and do something dumb. I won't excuse the cop reacting and acting badly in those situations. But I'm also not going to excuse an asshole being an asshole to try and get that reaction. At least these guys did exactly what they should do, which is walk away calmly.
Okay, but two things. One, these guys aren't Jevovah's Witnesses. Not even close to the same thing.

And two, this wasn't like those assholes who go harass people on the street for reactions. He didn't ask for them to show up to his door and try to intimidate him for the non-crime of posting something they didn't like politically on the internet.

And they wouldn't even show identity. They he expected the guy to believe they were FBI just because they said so.

And apparently they were, because they didn't deny it.

My question is how he knew they were FBI and what they were there for. I wouldn't know that just by looking. But apparently he wasn't wrong.

If they were arresting or detaining the guy I would completely agree. A person asking to talk to you, it being a fairly cordial conversation and then calling them fucktards as they leave is what I get annoyed by.

I have all kinds of problems with the FBI and things they do. But this? Sorry I don't see it. People are being too sensitive if someone trying to talk to them makes them this angry. You don't have to talk, tell them no thank you and move on. Clearly the guy didn't do something illegal. Which is why they weren't arresting or detaining him.

He probably hates the FBI as much as I do. Great, now I'm on another list.

Then why did someone send them to his house?
Because you don't have to have evidence that someone committed a crime in order to talk to them?

I don't know what provoked them to come want to talk to him. But there all kinds of crazy shit people can do that isn't illegal but could be worth trying to talk to them. They actually acted pretty much how I'd want them too. I do think if they are FBI they should identify themselves as such. But beyond that they didn't make the mistakes I see a lot of police officers doing which is trying to threaten and bully a person into talking or into thinking they are detained.

I saw this guy and he's very gray, so not some kid looking for a reaction.

I personally wouldn't talk to people like that, but in this case where you know you did nothing illegal and they're showing up just to harass you and make an example of you, I kind of get being really angry.

Same here, fuck that shit. You're coming to my house to intimidate me? No.

I wouldn't have used the same language, but I probably would have tried to get them to think about what they were doing.
And it would accomplish absolutely nothing. Again, these guys aren’t the decision makers. The people that should/need to hear it are insulated from it in a cushy office.

Yeah, like I said, they handled it about as well as they could.

Anyone go to the guys twitter and find out what the post was that they are referencing?

What "post" were they referring to?
It was a carefully worded post that read: "Anyone who murdered (insert D-POTUS candidate's name) would be an American hero"

He was trying to make a point that the FBI will "check out" the "average Joe" for stating their opinion on a hypothetical situation, meanwhile giving "free passes" to celebrity/media who makes overt threatening statements (opinion or otherwise), like: "he needs to be shot", "he needs to be stopped, by any means necessary", etc..

Because it was probably staged?
And this guy was in on it...

* In a follow up to the story, the NH Libertarian party the poster is associated with said:

Kauffman mused on his X account Monday morning, the day after a second assassination attempt on former President Trump, the GOP nominee for president: "It's weird that no one ever tries to assassinate the actual president. Isn't that the guy in charge of everything?"

The state party's X account, known for inflammatory posts often criticized by other libertarians including presidential nominee Chase Oliver, wrote Sunday morning in a post that X apparently took down as a violation of its terms: "Anyone who murders Kamala Harris would be an American hero."

The party followed up Monday morning with an open letter that didn't identify who wrote the Harris post. "We would never advocate for the assassination of a tyrannical President. That's illegal," it said. "We were merely acknowledging how some members would react to one," noting that some progressives cheered for attempts on Trump's life.

1. It's not happening
2. It's happening so little it doesn't matter
3. It's a good thing it's happening

Fully at stage 3. This mass importation of people reduces inflation, you see. Maybe we could stop running trillion dollar budget deficits instead? Nah.

Also, is this the most milquetoast "sheriff" you've ever seen or what? Has to be the county with Tuscon.

Is he fucking stupid? He does realize that extra demand (People have to live places, eat and cloth themselves) does not equal lower prices. It literally causes inflation.

But hey maybe they are all working production jobs naked, sleeping in the streets and not eating. Then I guess it could make costs go down.

Uhh... maybe the reason we don't need a wall on the border with Canada is because they aren't flooding people in by the 100's of thousands? Aren't overloading our welfare system? Aren't committing a metric shit-ton of crimes from drugs to rape to murder?

It has absolutely nothing to do with race, you fucking pandering moron.
