China doesn't want a full scale war with us either. They may have lots of people they don't mind sacrificing but they wouldn't risk the economic hit.

If you want to win a war against China on their home turf there will eventually be a draft. Depending on objectives, it very well might not be able to be won. There is a scenario according to war games where we lose a significant portion of the Pacific Fleet.

Winning a conflict against China will not require us to invade them. That would be insanity. They import about 70-80% of the food they need to meet their consumption so choking them off with a blockade along the first island chain and the Strait of Malacca and surviving their initial attack, which will be decapitation-style, will be enough to win a conflict with them. They are unable to project power much further than their shores and they're surrounded by enemies.
