"Arrested for no other offense other than the color of their skin"

Fucking baldfaced liars.
When they are picking up people who are actually in the process of getting their documentation and stopping that process so they can declare them as undocumented than that's not far from the truth.

Even to the point where they are arresting actual American citizens because they look Hispanic. You can't be honest and say it's not happening because it is.

It's not happening, Irv. They aren't saying, "This guy's skin is too dark, arrest him." No way. Why are they picking up certain people out of an entire group that looks the same if that's the case?

Biden let 14 million Hispanics (not Swedes, not Finns) cross the border uncontested. As a result, there will of course be innocent people caught up in the dragnet, but not deported if they can prove residency. Or are we still whining about Maryland Man?

Nope, not happening.

Yes, US citizens are being detained, despite the fact that ICE has no authority to arrest, detain, or deport US citizens. Reports indicate that US citizens, particularly those of Latino descent, are being detained or questioned about their citizenship, and in some cases, are being held without access to legal representation or charges.

Reasons for Detentions and Potential Issues:
    • Misidentification:
Some US citizens are being detained due to mistaken identity, being caught up in immigration raids targeting undocumented individuals.
    • Failure to Prove Citizenship:
While citizens are not required to carry proof of citizenship, some have been detained when they are unable to immediately prove their citizenship to the satisfaction of immigration officials, even if they are in fact citizens.
    • Racial Profiling:
Reports suggest that citizens of Latino descent are disproportionately affected by these detentions, raising concerns about racial profiling.
    • Lack of Procedural Safeguards:
In some cases, US citizens have been detained for extended periods without access to legal representation or formal charges, potentially violating their rights.
    • Increased Enforcement:
The Trump administration's increased focus on immigration enforcement has led to a rise in the number of US citizens being detained and deported, according to some reports.
Specific Examples:
    • California ICE Raids:
A 25-year-old disabled veteran who is a US citizen was detained and held for three days without access to legal representation or charges.
    • Florida Immigration Detention Centers:
Human Rights Watch has documented abusive practices at three Florida immigration detention centers, including cases where US citizens may have been detained.
    • Alabama Arrest:
A US citizen was wrestled to the ground, cuffed, and had his Real ID dismissed as "fake" during an arrest operation targeting undocumented individuals, according to a viral video and reporting, according to The Guardian.
    • Montebello, California:
A US citizen was detained and questioned about what hospital he was born in, despite telling officers he was an American citizen.

Even Trump’s number wasn’t that high, (at least the ones that I have heard) but please, tell me more.

“Not far from the truth,” still isn’t the truth.

And if you are illegally here but trying to fix it, uh, I’m not upset if they send them home and make them fix it first.
