yeah, the conditions they say accompany a "bad" experience, although in this case, not "hospital" level bad. My son is asthmatic, and yet had ZERO breathing issues while sick with the Vid.
glad to hear your son pulled through. my sis finally checked in. still sleeping a lot, but now her daughter can't smell or taste anything either. it never ends.

My son's case was mild. Was flu like sick for about half a day, lost his sense of smell and that was about it. Was back on his feet in no time.

Found out today another friend of mine had it, with only an unusual upset stomach and a slight runny nose as symptoms. Didn't think he could be positive but got tested when a friend of his said he had it. Said he wouldn't even have suspected anything was wrong except that he's pretty in tune with his body, takes care of himself, etc. He's testing negative now.

BTW he's 55 or so. Also, neither of my friends lost their sense of smell or taste, though the one's friend did.

It is really strange how it hits different people in such different ways.

Let's see what the GOP Senators do with this.

I don't want to hear shit about the deficit since all of them sat by and allowed it to explode.

For those that bitch that this is a government handout it pisses me off a bit. Most of us pay something in 5 figures in taxes every year. So no, giving me 2,000 isn't a handout. It's a refund of part of the money they stole from me in the first place.

Taxes get ridiculous when you start making decent money. Between income taxes, personal property taxes, real estate taxes you pay a small fortune. It's amazing how they nail you in so many directions. Don't tell me this is some handout for me at least. It's a fraction of what I pay.

The problem I have is it isn't even the return of your money, that was already spent LONG ago. They are straight up printing dollars for this shit, diluting their value in the process and hastening the day of its inevitable crash

I'm not convinced $2K will do jack squat for 99.9% of recipients and maybe if people got used to the idea the government wasn't going to bail them out every time they fucked up or life happens, they'd start planning for the inevitable rainy days......nah, fuck that..that would require discipline, delayed gratification, self reliance, personal responsibility and we cant have any of that nonsense

Or... They could just open up the fucking country and let people make a living like we've done all along. There would be no need for a stimulus bailout.

Yes the government is cranking out money through the monetary system and yes the debt is climbing however our monetary system is based on the full faith of the government which is essentially in the stability of our nation. The deficit is owed to ourselves since it is owned by the government and owed to the same party that borrowed it. It’s like making a debt to yourself. There are some bad things that could happen but as long as the nation continues to produce and stays strong the viability of the worth lies in the strength of the country. That’s the side of domestic debt.

The foreign debt is a different matter and that is the ares that needs a constant watch dog system because it can take away the strength of the nation through requiring the production and strengths to feed the repayment of foreign debt.

We cant count on the gov or politicians to have a clue and/or the courage to make tough decisions like you suggest. They've become the pied piper for idiots who think all this "free" money is a good thing as if it grows on trees or something

Further, even if they open everything up fully tomorrow, it wont change the fact the gov is 27+ trillion in debt, printing 6+trillion in the last 12 months plus annual spending deficit that appears to be 1+ trillion with no effort to stop going forward just adds to the problem while politicians and idiots everywhere scream for free housing, free education, free health care, reparations, etc, etc as if there are no consequences for the gov providing any or all of the above

I don't know when its going to happen but I think its a guarantee the dollar takes a massive hit if not a complete collapse, its inevitable barring a miracle I'm incapable of seeing around the corner

If any one of us lived like our government does, it would be only a matter of time before lenders cut us off and force us into bankruptcy for our reckless spending. I don't see how the US gov avoids the same fate eventually

My wife went to her sister’s house for Xmas, I stayed home. The next day every adult that attended ended up sick except one. Her sister did a rapid test yesterday and it was positive.

My wife had a mild fever last night and the night before, the first night she had a splitting headache. Other than that you wouldn’t know she’s “sick”.

I don’t wanna jinx myself, but I boned her(my wife) Xmas day and I haven’t been sick at all.
