What bothers me is the fact that they don't seem capable of just passing a stimulus bill. Take all the other spending in this bill and add it onto the sum you're giving individuals. It's that simple. Why can nothing ever get done without throwing a bunch of money away on stupid shit. This is exactly why government is so inefficient and why we need smaller government and less taxes. People are much better with their own money than government is with their money. But instead random Joe can never truly get ahead because if he earns 100,000 the government is going to take a large chunk of it from him and waste it.

Well absolutely. When you see 15 million being spent on cars over seas do you think that money is actually just going to vehicles and insurance? Of course not. They will be spending $200,000 on a 1992 Chevy Cavalier.

I get the concept of needing to stimulate the economy during times like these. But sadly only a small fraction of this is even being used to stimulate the economy.

To break down what's happening to basic terms is Congress is borrowing $5000 for everyone and giving you $600 of it while dividing the rest among their friends they know will give them back a majority of it thru kickbacks




edit: Actually it looks like it's closer to $15k for ea person while we only get $600 of it

So, just about everyone in the universe gets something except the proprietors and people who work hard and pays their dues to Uncle Sam. Or stated this way. The American Citizen who tries to be self sufficient and responsible are not really important to the lawmakers and politicians of this country. Those who created the bill and approved it can just kiss my butt. I don’t need any thing from this bill but the core working people do. After all it is supposed to be a “ Relief” bill.
