Yeah, I'm not too worried. I think we will have 2 of the QBs to pick from and I'd be thrilled with Goff or Wentz. I think Goff is the most polished passer in this draft. Just in terms of accuracy, ball placement and consistency. From what I have seen Lynch is starting to look more like the third QB. The offense they ran at Memphis is just a little goofy. It's a ton of WR screens and receivers running hook routes. When I've watched some of those film breakdowns of him he just makes me a little more nervous then the other guys.Been saying it for a while now bros.
As long as Wentz performs reasonably well at the Senior Bowl I would say it's to the point where there is no talk of "trading down to 10 or so and taking Wentz" and there certainly should be no more talk ever of taking him in the 2nd, or even trading back into the late 1st for him. If we want him, we take him at 4, end of story.
As for the Browns potentially taking him, it's possible of course, but I think Goff is more like Palmer than Wentz is in terms of being a polished pocket QB coming out and it's very easy to reason that the Browns go after the guy who is more ready to step in right now, with that being Goff. But even if they do take Wentz (which I could definitely see because of his arm strength when you consider the weather in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Baltimore) I would be perfectly happy to end up with Goff.
Agreed on Lynch. He definitely has the physical tools but the offense he ran was extremely basic and difficult to project. Of course it's the coaching staff's job to look at those physical traits, combined with his mental makeup, and decide whether or not they can integrate him into an NFL offense.Yeah, I'm not too worried. If he turns out to be what we hope I will gladly let NoDak celebrate.Do all you realize how unbearable NoDak is going to be if they take Wentz and he turns into what we all hope he can be...?
Yeah the draft could get nerve-wracking with the potential of a team moving up to 2 or 3 for a QB. Chip Kelly is so unpredictable though. We all thought there was no way he would go with Bradford. And yet there is was, failing miserably with a below average pocket passing QB.I bet if Chip decides Kaepernick is broken, Wentz is a target. He is mobile like Lynch, but probably more accurate.
Here's to hoping he goes after Manziel.I bet if Chip decides Kaepernick is broken, Wentz is a target. He is mobile like Lynch, but probably more accurate.
Or RGIII.Here's to hoping he goes after Manziel.
You shut yer mouth. Manziel would be great for them.Or RGIII.
But honestly the 49ers would be best off sticking with Kaep.
Who are you?Do all you realize how unbearable NoDak is going to be if they take Wentz and he turns into what we all hope he can be...?
Unless someone jumps us and offers the Chargers a deal, I find it hard to see if we don't have a pick between the top 2 QBs.As the draft process goes on and Wentz continues to gain momentum, especially if he has a good Senior Bowl, I could definitely see a bunch of our fans turning into panic monkeys about the potential of a team trading up in front of us to grab Wentz, which I find very unlikely.
First, the 49ers have a complete shit roster and a QB who actually allows Kelly to run a true read option, it would truly shock me if they trade a boat load of picks to move up when it's almost guaranteed that either Lynch or Wentz will be there at 7.
The next highest team that needs a QB is the Bears, and the price to move from 11 to 1 or 3 will be absolutely astronomical, so much so that I just can't see it happening, and the price will only continue to rise as you move down the draft order.
And even if some team trades up for a QB and both Wentz and Goff are gone in the top 3, in all likelihood we are left with Bosa because I don't see a 3-4 team with a very poor OL (both the Titans and Chargers) taking a somewhat questionable fit in Bosa over Tunsil or Stanley. So basically, either Bosa, Goff or Wentz will be there at 4, which is fine by me.
Absolutely. Watching him get triple-teamed and him still beating the block is impressive to say the least. If we can't get Goff or Wentz, Bosa would be my next choice
Especially one who doesn't really have the elite quickness or speed to be a dominant edge rusher.I'm still a little scarred about drafting white Ohio State front 7 defenders.
Tunsil is the closest thing to a sure bet in this draft yet you want no parts of him and Bosa is #2 , what are you looking to get out of this draft?Especially one who doesn't really have the elite quickness or speed to be a dominant edge rusher.
