Personally I thought Filburn dominated most of the fight but faded in the later rounds, allowing Wickard to steal a couple with late flurries. Filburn should have known he was going to need a knockout to win in Wickard's hometown though and his apparent plan to coast in the last three rounds cost him the fight. The next day's headline "Wickard Left Causes Opponent to Fil the Burn" was probably one of the greatest headlines in boxing history though.
Economically, I thought it was a travesty and an attack on the basic Constitutional rights of all Americans.
