NYP did a nice writeup on Rayfield yesterday. His path to the NFL definitely wasn’t paved. I saw a comment he made on his first season when the Cowboys brought 175 rookies to camp. Five made the cut. Seems like a lot of the guys from the Staubach era are moving on to the next rodeo.

Great HOF speech. RIP

I think I've mentioned this before but I was there. I was there for Aikman of course, but Wright (and Madden) was a great bonus. Great speech from Wright.

As an aside, three people from that draft class have now passed, two in the past few months. Aikman should probably watch his ass.

Not just two players from that draft class, but our 70s Cowboys are at that age

Neely, Reeves, Wright.

The 70s saw some damn good talent on this team, and by way of contrast, many of them saw a high degree of winning consistently, regular and postseason and Super Bowl. The polar opposite the current regime.

Id love to watch 1977/78 team pitted against 1992/93.

I think I’d take 1977/78 by 4 points on a late Staubach TD

The 1990s Cowboys would bully the 1970s teams. We always struggled against physical opponents.
