It's why I wonder how in the hell anyone can think that socialism is a good idea or going to work. It's not, there is no motivation to work your ass off. So you just end up with productivity and happiness going down the tank. I get the theory that everyone works hard, everyone benefits and we live in some utopia where everyone's life is great. But that's not human nature. And frankly if everyone had the same thing, even if it was a lot, most people wouldn't be happy. Because they would still compare themself to their neighbor and see that they don't have anything extra. Same reason why a person can have an iphone, junk food, and a roof over their head and still be unhappy that they don't have more.
