He is like an extra second round pick! You forgot Mingo in the 4th.

No Jerry penciled him in on the fourth round pick. He mentioned this. But he did also mention his top of the second talent and 4.3 speed. Both of which I call bullshit on.He is like an extra second round pick!
Just for shits and giggles, I would like to have access to an alt universe where Jerry and Rosie make the picks with no McClay. Just them doing the work after input from scouting.Of all the football things the Jones Boys do, the draft is their best.
B, excluding the Mingo trade

I think we pretty much had that in the Lacewell era.Just for shits and giggles, I would like to have access to an alt universe where Jerry and Rosie make the picks with no McClay. Just them doing the work after input from scouting.![]()
What a glorious time to live through if you hate yourself.I think we pretty much had that in the Lacewell era.
Those dudes don't even know the names of players on their own team. Could you imagine what it would be like having them picking players on college teams.Just for shits and giggles, I would like to have access to an alt universe where Jerry and Rosie make the picks with no McClay. It's still shocking to me we made that Mingo trade. Like who signed off on that as a good idea? Did Jerry get a call and just stumbled across it on his own? Like I still just have no idea how the fuck that happened.B, graded excluding the Mingo trade, just for the picks they actually had
Worse, we did it two days after losing Dak for the year, so what was the point? Did they expect the Rush-Mingo combination to result in a playoff push? It's still shocking to me we made that Mingo trade. Like who signed off on that as a good idea? That would be like some team trading us a fourth for Sam Williams. That shit ain't happening.
The lack of the WR is why I give it a B-.They will need to add a high end WR a la Amari Cooper if they want any chance to have a real dynamic offense. They didn’t get enough at RB to make me feel like they can lean on that position.
It's the type of trade you would have expected this weekend. Or during camp. But mid-season in a lost season? For a player that has literally done nothing since entering the NFL? Like Tolbert looks like an A+ pick compared to this kid.Worse, we did it two days after losing Dak for the year, so what was the point? Did they expect the Rush-Mingo combination to result in a playoff push?

Javonte is more talented than anyone we just drafted at RB. If he’s a one year guy it’s cause we don’t want to pay him.And I like what we did at RB. With Blue and Mafah. You sort of have a foundation that you can build around long term. Feels like it's been awhile that we actually had young depth at the position. Jevonte is a one year guy. Sanders is a one year guy. So next offseason Blue and Mafah will be going into their second years and their roles can grow. And then you can just add a third piece with no real pressure.
Or it's because like most NFL RBs, they burnout quickly. If he looks like the RB from his rookie year I agree. Although Blue is more elusive and a better pass catcher and Mafah has more power. Thus how the committee approach works.Javonte is more talented than anyone we just drafted at RB. If he’s a one year guy it’s cause we don’t want to pay him.
