Get ready to hear "convicted felon" a lot over the next few months. I mean that was their plan to begin with. They know this will get overturned on appeal eventually, but they can now call him a convicted felon forever now.

Can't he just pardon himself when he is president? That would be the ultimate middle finger to the liberals... :lol

If Biden were smart, he'd pardon Trump. It would make him look magnanimous and Trump look weak.

President can't pardon anyone for state crimes. That would be up to the governor of NY if they even have that power. Some governors do not.

Someone on one of the news stations said he can't pardon himself since these are state charges.

On the other hand Trump made himself a target and didn’t engender political protection from the allies he needed. He banged a pornstar and paid hush money to cover it up. Whether you should be guilty of a felony for this stuff is one thing,
This is what the average citizen who is run through our legal system has to deal with.

It's pretty much the norm for some average Joe to get caught committing what should be a simple one or two charge crime., but once overzealous prosecutors get their hands on it they turn it into a page of 20+ charges.

It's why I don't think Trump was railroaded and treated differently because of who he is. On the contrary, I think he just got a taste of the BS that the average person facing criminal charges has to deal.

Sorry, but Trump isn't an average citizen. I think there is a very distinct difference. They raided his house on very little evidence. They impeached him twice with zero evidence and then ran this kangaroo court witch hunt over nonsense.

Would they do that do an average citizen?

Yes. Have you not been paying attention to this country's history of law enforcement?

Sorry, brother, but I don't agree with you here.

Agreed. Also a normal citizen would have been punished much more harshly for the repeated contempt charges and gag order violations.

Anyone pay attention what that cop tried to do that that golfer trying to get to the course? Said he told him to stop and the golfer didn't stop and drug him with his car. Had no body cam on of course. But then a camera on a pole showed what really happened. Just google Scottie Schefler for the story.

The biggest bullshit of all of this.
I'm not justifying the gag order. Just in case it comes across that way. Just saying that if someone who wasn't a president went against it repeatedly they wouldn't have the same treatment he got.
