I appreciate that they IRS wants to know if you got a $500 payment on Venmo but the government can't tell you where millions of dollars actually goes.

People want to bitch the it's a conflict for Musk to have access to this information but that's a load of shit. It's refreshing that this stuff is actually coming out and it wouldn't be if it wasn't someone like Musk.

And trust me I get conflicts. Just like all the members of congress who make millions on their stock portfolios based on the decisions they make. I trust them far less because those folks aren't transparent at all. And it's not shocking that congress members are suddenly pissed that funding for this shit is being stopped. The government needs audited way worse than small businesses and individuals. But hey like hire a bunch more IRS agents and ignore the atrocities of governments unchecked spending.

Was thinking that earlier. Why can we piss away unaccounted millions to billions of dollars on these insane and/or crooked programs but the IRS now will get you if you don't report that $600 you got for selling a couple sets of old golf clubs on Ebay?
