Rico Dowdle is a slightly more agile Troy Hambrick, so the idea that anyone should be scared of him is comical.

With that being said, I'm glad he popped off at the mouth because he just gave the Cowboys extra motivation to be locked in for a game against a bad team.

These are the kinds of games the Cowboys have had a tendency to overlook because of the opponent, but Rico just did his part to make sure the Cowboys come in with more motivation than usual for a game like this.

So thank you, Rico.

The Panthers have been respectable thos year. Definitely a game we need to come in ready to play. They won't roll over like the Jets.

Well that makes it even better that he gave the Cowboys, especially the defense, more of a reason to go in locked in and focused for that game.

Eh.

They've been blown out twice in 5 games.

They might roll over.
Especially after coming back from down 17 yesterday, it's not easy to maintain that type of focus two weeks in a row.

Basically the only thing that'll stop us from winning is if we completely shit the bed with turnovers and penalties, as long as the defense doesn't relapse back to week 2.

Yeah I think this is one of those games that'll come down to how we play much more than anything they do or don't do.

And even if the defense is Packers-level shitty I still think that's enough to win the game as long as we don't fuck ourselves with penalties and turnovers.

I just hope the defense continues to improve, even if it's slightly, and avoids turning into a pumpkin against a mediocre opponent.

I mean Rico could have a big day if they keep playing Mazi. I think Simp said all of Jets big runs were up the middle where Maxi Pad was getting blown the fuck off the line.

The only 2 games they've won were at home against Atlanta and Miami and they've lost all 3 games on the road. Their offense appears pretty anemic at #24, even after Dowdle's big game. However, their passing defense is ranked #10.

Edit: Actually, I'm not sure the stats have been updated to include week 5.

Mazi was on the field for runs of 16, 21 and 16 right up the middle, so basically half of Hall's yards on 3 carries.

Which is not great considering Mazi was on the field for a grand total of...8 running plays.

If Winfrey is healthy to me it's an easy, cut Mazi and replace him with Winfrey from IR. Even if he isn't ready, Mazi is at the top of my list of guys to cut to make room for other guys. Just bite the bullet. The guy sucks and you're not going to fix him. It's best for everyone involved.

And it sends the appropriate merit-based message to the rest of your team. We've been lacking this kind of accountability since Jimmy left.

McMillan is their top receiver but he is only catching 55% of his targets:
