CBS Sports reporting that Rivers to the Colts is a done deal. Another head scratcher to me.
That's been the rumor for a couple of months now.

Honestly it makes sense to me. They are in win now mode. They have one of the better rosters in the NFL, which made it even stranger when Luck chose to retire. The only real question mark is WR. They've dealt with a lot of injuries at WR the last couple of seasons.

I assumed they'd use their first round pick on a WR but they traded that pick away last night, so who knows at this point.

How do you say 'no thanks' to Tom Brady and then sign Philip Rivers?

Even if he is, nobody to throw to. And their former assistants are picking over the bones for defensive players as well.

And Scarnecchia is retiring, and he was the glue that held things together on that offensive line. They sorely missed him when he retired that first time and undoubtedly will again.

They had a great run, arguably the greatest of all time, but it's over.
TV schedule hasn't been released yet. Will be interesting to see how many primetime games they get if they go with the kid.

Cam Newton calls BS. Says he DID NOT ask for a trade and that the Panthers are manipulating the narrative.

I dont see anywhere where they said he asked for it. Silly for him to react that way.
You had to know he would be in hysterics. After all we all saw the stuff he would wear to post game press conferences.

That injury was nasty. They are taking a massive gamble here.
And the guy is immobile and the very definition of a bus driver.

Sean Payton's genius allows even Bridgewater to look serviceable, and now the Panthers want to kick Newton out and pay $20 million a year for this guy? Sorry, that's nuts to me, bonkers!

Supposedly, Brady has made his decision between the Chargers and the Bucs.
