It's still pretty early in Game 1 but I had a feeling Cleveland would struggle a bit with the Pacers.

I think the Cavs win the series but the Pacers are probably going to play them close in every game.

Chicago is looking like the team I thought they'd be when the season began.

So many playmakers on that roster.

Yea, it's pretty funny. I love how the front office bumbled into this while basically trying to half-ass tank, but playoff Rondo and Wade have arrived, while Butler has been a top 10-15 player all season.

Boston is just a very good matchup for them with their inability to rebound but you can't take anything away from how they've played these last two games.

What's really shocking is that this Zipser dude is actually a decent rotational player, he's a rookie so he's inconsistent but he's shown more this year than McDermott did in 2 seasons and Valentine so far during his rookie year.

I still have no faith in these guys but I have to admit that not having any expectations has made this damn entertaining.

Maybe Boston shoulda coughed up those picks for Butler when they had the chance.

The most surprising thing to me is that Boston has put up very little resistance. The Bulls have handled them relatively easily.

I haven't seen a 1 vs 8 mismatch like this since 2007 when the Warriors manhandled the 67-win Mavs.

That's what this match up is reminding me of.

We'll give up those picks for a better player in the offseason.

Boogie Cousins or Porzingas will be a better fit, especially after we sign Gordon Hayward.

I'm not sure Boogie Cousins is a better player than Jimmy Butler.

Better empty stat compiler maybe.

I think the rose has come off Cousins like it did Dwight Howard when he left Orlando.

I'd take Butler over him... same ppg but Butler also brings the lock down anti-Lebron that you need.

And I'm truly saying this as someone who wants the Celtics to beat the Cavs. Butler would be exactly what they need. If you need a big man go get Paul Millsap, Pau Gasol or Greg Monroe with your FA dollars.

You're delusional, but I guess it makes sense, gotta hang on to the allure of "the future" and "draft picks" when you could've went to the Finals this year by seizing the moment and trading for Butler or George.

Cousins is more talented but I think Butler plays a more winning brand of ball. Like you say Cousins is basically a stat compiler, he isn't a rim protector that you build a defense around and then when you take into account his demeanor/combustible nature I'd take Butler over him.

Hayward has his connection with Stevens. He's going to be the guy.

Stevens is only keeping the seat warm for the next guy after UNC makes him a sweetheart deal for when ol 'Roy retires.

But hey, it must be good knowing you've got Chris Collins or Steve Wojciechowski in the wings there at the Evil Empire.

Brad Stevens is about to be named Coach of the Year and has a young core with tons of resources to get better on a team already the #1 seed in the weak East. He's not leaving.

It took 12 years, Gerald Green finally turned in the kind of performance I expected of him when drafted.

This is why this SOB needs to be fired.

He's more concerned about trying to show confidence in his player rather than doing what's best for the team.

Houston went hack-a-Shaq on Roberson during a crucial stretch of the game. Donovan stubbornly stuck with Roberson for 4 or 5 possessions, watching him throw up brick after brick.

Roberson ended up shooting 2-12 for the game. Our starting small forward, ladies and gentlemen.

I'm hoping Presti has finally come to the realization that you can't have a SG/SF who shoots that poorly as your starter. We could get away with it when we had KD but now that KD is gone we've lost the luxury of having a non-shooting defensive specialist in the starting lineup.

Watching the OKC vs Houston series strengthens the argument that I was having with Jiggy regarding Harden's supporting cast vs Westbrook's supporting cast.

Yesterday when Westbrook was on the floor OKC was +14. When he was off the floor they were -18. That's been story of this series so far.

The last 3 games Westbrook has gone to the bench with OKC up by 9-12 points and in each instance Houston quickly erased the deficit. Sometimes in less than 2 minutes.

If Jiggy's watching this series and still thinks that Westbrook's supporting cast is better, he needs to be drug tested ASAP.

This is why I make the argument that you can't always just hand the MVP to the player who's team had the better record. Especially when we're only talking about an 8 game difference between the 2 teams. Now if we're talking a 15 game gap between the teams then absolutely.....go with the guy with the better team record.

Billy Donovan is still in the NBA????
Of course. It's only his second year.

I was excited about the hire back in 2015 when it was announced. After 2 years I now realize that he's not even on Scott Brooks' level.

My guess is OKC will give him at least another 2-3 years. The organization tries to pride themselves on stability. So I don't see them changing coaches every other year like some organizations.
