And now Parson's going into complete bitch mode.
Chandler Parsons slams DeAndre Jordan, says center was ‘scared’ to be a franchise player

In the aftermath of DeAndre Jordan’s decision to renege on a verbal commitment to join the Mavericks and stay with the Clippers — which unfolded in about as bizarre a manner as possible — it’s safe to say that plenty of folks in Dallas are mad. Heaven knows, Mavs owner Mark Cuban is angry about the whole thing.
But perhaps no one is as upset at Jordan’s last-minute change of heart as Chandler Parsons. The Mavericks small forward and (possibly former) friend of Jordan’s spent considerable time recruiting the center, and he made it clear he feels betrayed.
In extensive comments Thursday to ESPN, Parsons did not shrink from calling Jordan “scared” of “being a franchise player.” He described the center’s behavior as “unethical and disrespectful,” and said that Jordan decided to stay “complacent in L.A.”
Here is a sampling of what Parsons had to say about Jordan to ESPN’s Tim McMahon:
“I’m shocked, very disappointed, frustrated, disrespected.”
“I had the same thoughts last year when I had to go ahead and sign with Dallas and have a chance to leave Houston, but never once in my life would I consider turning on an entire organization and city and going back and backtracking.”
“He’s complacent in L.A., and I think that was a safer bet than for him to make a big decision and branch off and go do his own thing.”
“He put our entire franchise and our team in a really, really tough spot.”
“Be a professional. Pick up the phone. If you’re not going to meet with [Cuban], pick up the phone. … But do not ignore the guy. Do not make him sit there and sweat it out. That’s just very unprofessional. I can’t get over that part.”
“It’s not our fault. We did everything that we could. We had a verbal commitment from a grown-ass man.”
“He wasn’t ready for being a franchise player. He was scared. He was scared to take the next step in his career.”
“I’ll still be friends with him, but I can’t get over the way that he’s put our entire franchise in jeopardy.”
It’s good to know that Parsons feels that he’ll “still be friends” with Jordan, because, to judge from those comments, it would be easy to draw a different conclusion. But that is undoubtedly why McMahon found Parsons in such an upset state of mind — the Mavericks forward wasn’t just looking forward to getting an all-star center on his team, he was excited about playing next to a pal.
It will be very interesting to see what sort of reception Jordan gets the next time he plays in Dallas. Boos will, of course, rain down from the thousands in attendance, but the center, notorious for his poor free-throw shooting, could also see some extra fouls come his way, and hard ones at that.
