@jaysonst: Dazzling inning for Miami's Domingo German. K'd Kris Bryant on 95-mph heat. K'd Joey Gallo on big-time hook.
Definitely a disappointing offseason, but 7th or 8th seed?Talk about a crazy swing in emotions for the Rockets and their fans.
First it looked like Bosh was a virtual lock.
Then it sounded as if they'd not only sign Bosh but also match the Mavs' offer on Parsons.
Now they have neither and only have Ariza to show for it.
Houston took a step back this offseason. They'll probably still make the playoffs but I see them as a 7th or 8th seed now.
What are you going to give up for him, Dallas has nothing Boston would want.
It would have to be a 3 team deal, obviously.Outside of draft picks I'm not sure they have much to offer.
He's either a flat out idiot who hasn't been able to connect the dots in his head or he's a greedy born loser who would rather get paid ~22 a year on a complete shit team than ~17 a year on a team that could finally help him fully realize his potential. All in all, that was a catastrophic trade considering Denver didn’t have any leverage whatsoever. And it happened because Carmelo wanted more money — the same choice he made last weekend, again, and the same choice you and I would probably make too. Carmelo inadvertently created the narrative that threatens to defines him. There’s a good chance he will play his entire career, then retire, without ever finding the right team. Unless the Knicks miraculously strike oil next summer, his own version of the 2011 Mavericks can’t happen. His prime will come and go, and that will be that.
I definitely wanted Augustin back. It's too bad. They overpaid, but I do like the additions of Augustin and Meeks in Det. I loved Meeks in Philly...shooter and willing defender.
Sour grapes. Again, next off season the Knicks will have a ton of cap space. Amare and Bargnani are off the books. And unlike Chicago guys will got to NYC and MSG to play. They will not be a shit team for long.Yea, this defines Carmelo to me right here:

Either way I have no sympathy for him, he will never win a title, or even compete for one unless he joins a super team after this contract is up in his mid-30's, and he doesn't deserve it either.
No, he's not the offensive player Deng is, but he has really improved his 3pt shooting. With Harden and Howard getting most of the touches he's a real good fit in Houston.Solid player, but he isn't the offensive player Deng is.
And while Ariza is a good defender, so is Deng.
Deng is the better player who can help a team more, and he should have been target over Ariza.

At least no one is bitter about him not joining their team.
