I think their youth is working against them.
Me too. I keep thinking they need one vet scorer type to come off the bench. SGA can't do it all, and their bench guys are mostly defensive guys and so young that the moment seems big for them. There are times in this series when their "others" can't make a thing.

Good thing is, they have plenty of resources to address it in the off season

Nah, an all time great team would have dusted the pacers.
Really?

You do realize the Pacers had the 2nd or 3rd best record in the NBA since January 1st, right? That's over a 50 game sample size.

They're a very good squad. The national media chose to ignore them because of their market size so people falsely assume that they should be beaten easily.

Caruso's given them 20 off the bench in 2 of the 4 games. They need Aaron Wiggins or Isaiah Joe to chip in a little more as well. But in their defense, Daigneault hasn't given them consistent minutes in the Finals. Caruso's the only bench player who you know will play 15+ minutes from night to night.

Ironically I think OKC really misses Giddey in this series since they have basically nobody to run offense when SGA is off the floor.

I also don't think OKC is a historically great team, although much of that will be determined by the success (or lack thereof) in the years to come.

They seem like a team who could win 2-3 over the next 8-10 years, not 4+ (i.e. a historically great team).

Records as I alluded to before are fairly irrelevant (not completely but I wouldn't use them as a marker for much in terms of history). There aren't really great teams this season.

I've thought that same thing. Not that he's a grizzled vet in this situation, but he can create.

Of course then you'd give up some defense, and I get that. But it's frustrating when it seems like no one can get the ball in the basket.

Well, the Thunder are 9.5 pt favs at home tonight, where they are 35-6 this season. They lost game 1 at home after leading for all but the last .3 seconds of the game.

It's been an interesting finals. I'm glad we got different teams for once. And game 7s are always nice.

Up to last night I thought OKC was going to win this series. Now who knows.

I'd lean OKC but then Rick Carlisle is a hell of a coach.

He's a great coach. I still can't believe Cuban forced him out with his meddling.* And then people think Jason Kidd is some great coach and in demand by all these teams.

The NBA is bizarro world sometimes.

* edit, it's Mark Cuban, so actually I can believe it.

What?

Because I actually watch the NBA and don't rely on ESPN propaganda/talking heads to guide my opinion, before the series started I said Thunder in 7. That would require them to lose 3 games. They've lost 3 games.

Tonight we roll. Thunder in 7.
I don't watch ESPN unless it's a live sporting event. I hope you guys win, tbh.
