I am pumped that I'll actually get to enjoy seeing it properly this time around.@1bigfan13 How 'bout them Thunder?
OKC is 10000% beating whoever comes out of the slop fest East, so don't stress too much.I am pumped that I'll actually get to enjoy seeing it properly this time around.
When they made it to the Finals in 2012, I was deployed to Afghanistan so I missed a couple of the games. And the games that I did watch I had to get up at something like 3 AM.
This time around I'll be in the comfort of my own home with a cold beer in hand, praying for 4 more wins.![]()
I think you're right. As long as our main guys stay healthy I think they should be able to take care of either the Knicks or Pacers in 5 or 6 games.OKC is 10000% beating whoever comes out of the slop fest East, so don't stress too much.
If nothing else, their defense might be all time good.I think you're right. As long as our main guys stay healthy I think they should be able to take care of either the Knicks or Pacers in 5 or 6 games.
If they finish the job I think you have to put this team in the discussion of top 10 teams of all time. I know it sounds crazy to say that but the resume supports it. They just didn't get the national media coverage or respect from NBA fans that you'd normally see with teams of that magnitude.

I know it sounds crazy, but like I said, their resume puts them in the conversation.Crazy talk.
Does it feel like the NBA is kind of down right now though? I don't pay that close of attention but the star power sort of feels mehA few nuggets about OKC to help their case.
They beat their opponents by an average of 13 ppg, which is the best all-time.
They went 29-1 vs the East this year, which is an NBA record.
Their 68 wins was tied for 5th best all time.
I'll stop lobbying now.![]()
I don't really follow the NBA anymore, but those are some astonishing numbers.A few nuggets about OKC to help their case.

I think you're spot on. SGA is a great player but he's not polarizing and he's not a dynamic athlete who's considered "must see".Really though, the numbers show it. Point differential is one of the best and most predictive stats, and theirs is the best of all time.
I blame the superstar-obsession of this league. We've almost been conditioned by the marketing and the soap opera nature of the NBA to think if you don't have a Lebron or Kobe or Jordan you can't be that great a team. SGA is pretty great, but not nearly as spectacular an athlete as those guys, so it doesn't seem like the team could be that good overall. But their defense is that great and makes it happen.
I think that's a fair point. It certainly feels like more teams tank today compared to previous generations. There aren't a lot of great teams this year. I'd need to see more from them long term.
