I thought he was bad. There was no push on the right side and he was beaten several times.
It was amazing that he was not bad.He was not bad. But to call him amazing? Nope.
I agree. He was not good.I thought he was bad. There was no push on the right side and he was beaten several times.
Amazing in the sense that I had no hope he wouldn't be an embarassment and amazingly he didn't fall on his face too many times. He was not amazing. He wasn't even close to amazing. Serviceable, maybe.
He fell somewhere between good and bad. Serviceable seems like the best definition of Free's performance. Given he had never played guard before I am happy with that performance. Still makes way more sense for him to play Rt.I agree. He was not good.
He was poor at playing with power. He fell somewhere between good and bad. Serviceable seems like the best definition of Free's performance. Given he had never played guard before I am happy with that performance. Still makes way more sense for him to play Rt.

I agree with this and what smitty said about not playing with power. He was solid in pass protection for the most part and had a couple solid run blocks but he did get jacked back a few times when trying to run block. I assume if we keep him at RG full time that he should improve and give us better play than 2012 Livings/Bernadeau.He fell somewhere between good and bad. Serviceable seems like the best definition of Free's performance. Given he had never played guard before I am happy with that performance. Still makes way more sense for him to play Rt.
He may be strong, but his technique is awful. A good experienced DE is going to take him to down to Chinatown.“He’s got tremendous power,” Jones said. “Our strength people think that his punch is the most powerful they’ve ever measured. And so, boy, he can set ’em back on their heels when he pops them. And of course, he’s got the outstanding feet of a basketball player because that’s what he was in his early days in college.”
