They were talking about this on McAfee today saying how some dipshit fan in a $5k seat got his own manager ejected.
@bbgun you got Angeled.
They have a girl pitching for them?
Yeah, they're not making the playoffs.
You aren't out of it yet. Doesn't seem like any team wants to run away with it at the moment.Yeah, they're not making the playoffs.
The dude's batting average is lower than his jersey number.
The hole they've dug themselves is too big and there's no relief in sight.
The Astros gave up 5 runs in the 1st yesterday which brings their 1st inning ERA down to second worst in all of baseball. You aren't out of it yet. Doesn't seem like any team wants to run away with it at the moment.
And yet the leader of the division is only 1 game over 500. I'm telling you that it's not over yet. Don't get me wrong. I want to see the Astros never win another game and eventually forced to dissolve their franchise but you aren't out of it yet.The Astros gave up 5 runs in the 1st yesterday which brings their 1st inning ERA down to second worst in all of baseball.
The Astros theme song for the Spring:
I know it's early, but we've been saying that for a month now. And what's worse, they're not getting any healthier any time soon. And yet the leader of the division is only 1 game over 500. My guess is that they continue to play .500 ball or worse for the next 2-4 weeks.
Maybe no one is running away with the AL West right now, but the Astros are going to be 10 games under .500, give or take, at this time next month.
That means that they're probably going to have to play what? .650? .700 ball from there on out?
On top of that, the AL East is stacked and the AL Central has some solid teams too so it's very unlikely that one of the wild cards is going to come out of the AL West which means they HAVE to win the division if they're going to make the playoffs.
Early-ish or not, I just don't see it man. I think they're in too deep a hole with too many flaws and the odds are against them doing what needs to be done to win this division.
Especially at the end of the season, until...I don't know how many times I thought the Rangers were out of it in the second half last season.
Still too early. Teams have turned it around before and as far as the other teams in the AL you just have to get hot at the right time. You just need to get in. I don't know how many times I thought the Rangers were out of it in the second half last season.
You may be correct but just give it another month or so.

Ouch. That's rough, man. I thought my Twins got off to a rough start. That's brutal. The Astros gave up 4 runs in the 1st inning yesterday in a 4-3 loss to the Cubs.
They are now 7-18.
The Astros are dealing with injuries too, but it would be disingenuous to blame their struggles on just that.Ouch. That's rough, man. I thought my Twins got off to a rough start. That's brutal.
They've been decimated by injuries since spring training, tho. Hopefully they start getting some guys back in the next couple weeks.
Well, you're gonna hear about it, buddy.I don't want to hear it about injuries. The Rangers are missing two starting pitchers, an infielder and are just now getting Sborz back.
