He was terrible the whole series, but I really couldn't believe when he said something to the effect that if you played this series ten times, or if they played ten games, it would be a different outcome. When the Rangers dominated the entire time. WTF could he have been thinking?
Geez... Could he make it anymore obvious that he really didn't want the Rangers to win?

Fair points, but your bullpen is suspect and the Astros have a TON of experience which absolutely matters at this time of the year.

They always turn it on in the postseason which is why they are on the verge of going to their 7th straight ALCS which is just insane.

I get everybody hates them because of the scandal, but there are only 2 members in the entire organization that are still with the club from that 2017 season.

I think the vitriol clouds people from just how good that organization is and has been.

Again, I think the Rangers can do it, but the edge absolutely goes to Houston for that series as beating them is going to be no easy task.
Oh, I definitely agree the Astros are a fantastic team and have probably been the best team in baseball since 2016, and they have a ton of experience like you said. However, so does Bruce Bochy, our best offensive player Seager was WS MVP three years ago and Eovaldi was the ace on a WS champion in 2018, so thankfully Texas isn't without some experience, too, albeit we're talking about experience these guys had on other teams, but it still makes a difference.
Important to consider with Texas' bullpen- We're getting Scherzer and Gray back for the ALCS so other starters like Heaney, Perez, and probably Gray are all available as long relief which limits the need to use some of the less than stellar relievers, and LeClerc has stepped up as our closer. But I'll admit I'm really homering out right now - it's been forever since we've had a legitimate championship contender in DFW.

Whatever you do, just don't do the We Want Houston thing because it didn't work out for the Yankees and it didn't work out for the Twins either.

It's funny the shit that motivates athletes sometimes but that right there seems to get the Astros going every time.

They did it. It just wasn't as noticeable on the video I heard. You have to really focus but they are chanting it.

All kidding aside, I'd love to see some shit talking in a LCS series between two in-state divisional rivals.

This is gonna be fun!

I won't be saying a word, and this likely will not be fun. :unsure

seven straight ALCS appearances? that's impressive. especially when you lose Cole, Verlander, Springer and Correa along the way.
It's a tremendous run.

Some would say it's a dynasty, but I've always felt to be a dynasty you have to win at least 3 championships to truly be that, but who wouldn't kill to see their team go to 7 straight LCS', 4 WS, and become champions twice all in a 7 year span?

I think if they beat the Rangers they're gonna win it all again. In fact, I think the winner of this series wins it all.

Can't wait to watch it kickoff live on Sunday night!

You'll be fortunate if the Phils close out Atlanta again. They're the 400lb gorilla this year.

This series is Texas' version of the 1992 NFCCG at SF for the Cowboys. Houston has the long track record of success, the playoff experience, the champion manager, while the Rangers haven't been a legit contender in over a decade and are viewed as the underdog.
Time to punch that gorilla in the mouth.

The Phillies were better equipped for the postseason. I knew back in August that this would be another early playoff exit for the Braves. No matter the opponent.

They only had one consistent starter for most of the season. They were able to get by because their offense was so good. The Phillies did a great job shutting down the top of the Braves order. With the bats under control there was no way in hell our pitching staff was going to hold the Phillies offense in check for 3 games.

Having an ultra-hands-off manager also didn’t help matters in this series. The way Snitker handled Game 3 was managerial malpractice. I’ve already resigned myself to them being no more than the 2nd coming of the 90s Braves unless they decide to shake things up and bring in a new manager.

They’re comfortable with Snitker though, so I don’t expect any changes. He’s been with the Braves organization for over 40 years. He’s family to them. But sometimes you have to fire your incompetent nephew to move the company ahead.

That was apparently a parody account.

Why do people do parody accounts that aren't actually funny?
