I never listened to his interviews before this series but he is a cocky POS . I used to worry when he was flipping that toothpick.
Same, I didn't realize he was so arrogant.

As for Abreu, he'll appeal it down to one, which means he'll only miss today and be available for the Series.

Yes, that pissed me off. I was yelling at the TV for him to GTFO of the dugout.
See, this is when umpires/referees are supposed to enforce things and impose the authority they have.

They want to act all tough when they throw a guy out for arguing strikes and balls but they won't assert their authority and make a manager leave in a timely manner?

Dumb.

Hopefully it won't matter.

Baker is like royalty. No way they'd do anything to him.

They can win tonight and if you get to a game 7 it's anybody's game at that point.

Like I said the other day, if they're gonna win tonight they have to get to Valdez early on. He hasn't been sharp this postseason so there's gonna be opportunities there.

If they let him settle and get through 4 innings with no runs allowed, then that's where I think they're gonna be in trouble as it'll then come down to the bullpens and the Astros have a huge advantage there even without Abreu.

The first few innings will tell the tale.

Oh, I'll be at the stadium for this one too.

This 2023 ALCS has been easily the most enjoyable sporting event of the year for me.

I'd like to see the Astros win tonight, but I can't say I'd hate watching a game 7 on Monday night.

You know, even if they don't win tonight, what a massive turnaround in one year.
And that's what you gotta focus on.

Hell, I said that back when you guys just secured a playoff spot and some were still bummed about not winning the division!

It's a massive turnaround and what's more, this team that is still learning how to play together just got a ton of very valuable postseason experience no matter what happens tonight.

Add to the pitching in the offseason and the Rangers would go in to 2024 as the clear favorites in the AL.

I do think they could win tonight just because Eovaldi is such a stud. But I can't see even a Jim Carrey chance in a game 7 with the pitchers we'd run out there.

The only hope that I have is if they get pissed like they did after the Seattle debacle.

I mean, of course I'd take a punchers chance in a game 7... Maybe they go crazy with the bats and win a 9-8 game or something. But I doubt it, especially with our bullpen getting used today.

Oh well. Being a Rangers fan is like being the gym teacher in Beavis and Butthead.

At least there are some nfl games. Kind of looking forward to Lions - Ravens.

But like you said, bye weeks suck.
