I dont want him on my team.
And this may be the right line of thinking. It's not like we even need a RB. But the fact that we don't have a need is why we can afford the risk. Not sure it would be worth the PR nightmare though. Seems like we are already dealing with it with Elliott and he didn't even do anything.

Not on this team for obvious reasons. But also because of the headache. That's why I think he goes to a team that is used to being immune to big time attention and does it for the brand. It is a tough risk to take.

So I'm bored and I was thinking about a guy like Mixon today. Is there a point in this draft where you all would be ok with Dallas taking him? I mean he is a serious talent. But he has the domestic violence issue that could easily take him off a lot of teams draft boreds. In a draft with some really good RBs that means he could fall big time. I can't justify a third/fourth rounder on a RB period this year but if he unbelievably is there in the sixth? Sure would be nice to have 2 great young RBs and not worry about that position for years.
He will probably be suspended over that deal this season, right?

North Carolina, one of the most impressive games I've seen from any prospect this year. To me he projects as a DE who shifts inside on passing downs, kind of a rich man's Tyrone Crawford but much more effective on the edge.

I'd take him at 28 for sure but I'm not sure he has quite enough juice off the edge as I'd prefer.
Discussing Thomas right now is about like debating Aaron Donald a few years ago. We won't get him, so there is no reason to bother anymore.

Who will suspend him? The incident happened in college and he isn't subject to any further sanctions that I am aware of. I don't see how the NFL would have any say so in that particular incident.

I thought that Elliott had a chance to be suspended or am I losing my mind?
They could drum it up. Players do go into the drug program for what happened in school. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same thing for domestic violence.

I don't think there has been a final disposition on The Elliot matter yet by the authorities. There may be a long shot that he could still face some charges but I am not really up on his situation.

The incident they are investigating was from July after the draft. There was also an incident in February before the draft with the same girl. I don't think the NFL wants to start the precedent of punishing players for things they did before entering the draft.

The NFL audience doesn't really care if Laremy Tunsil is all over the Net puffing on weed

But if he had been caught Ricing his girlfriend unconscious he might not have even been drafted for fear of backlash and potential suspension.

If the video is released after the player enters the league I can't say the league wouldn't at least consider punishment.

We're kind of in uncharted territory with the explosion of available video combined with an increasing willingness to post them online.

From the league office's perspective such a video would be equally as or possibly more damaging than the Rice footage.

I'm glad we found Dak. I don't like any of these QBs this year at all.

I agree. It's sad when Mahommes a Texas Tech QB might be the most interesting to me. And even the Tech homers on here don't love the guy.
I wouldnt say that. Iamtdg doesnt and has his reasons but Skid and I are fans. I have hope that he can be successful.

I like Trubisky but not any of the others. And I don't think he's as good as a guy like Wentz at the top of the draft.

I saw where there was a fire at the Texas Tech stadium. I didn't get any details.
