I understand their thinking on this issue.

They don't want a plane full of their players getting wasted on the flight then immediately getting off the plane and driving home.

And we all know that even with plenty of money to pay for ride sharing services and such, people will still get behind the wheel and drive drunk.

Yep, it's all about the potential liability. Like so many things these days.

So, essentially the NFL has this policy in place but don't enforce it. So, this OC ruined the apples for everyone.

did he even wear that uniform?
No, apparently he never wore that particular jersey.

How is that organization so incompetent?

This is the 2nd attempt to "honor" him and both times they completely blew it with some half assed ceremony and recognition.

It's unreal how clueless they are over there and it's sad to know that they won't be around forever.

I know I keep repeating myself but I will never ever understand their obsession with this dude. He was a decent player. It's so silly to immortalize him like this.

"Hey, where's the mannequin of that guy who was pretty good for about 3 years back 15 years ago when the team was mediocre?"

I agree with you 100%.

I remember Redskins fans actually thinking he was a bust in 2005 because his coverage was so bad.

Then overnight, he turned into a legend.

It's tragic what happened to him, but it made him 1000X times better in the revisionist history of that fan base.
