Vinny mentored Romo.

Yeah I'm wondering exactly what people are considering mentoring. I mean if we are talking about Romo giving him pointers I would say absolutely Romo has that type of a responsibility. I think all the players on the team have that reaponsibility to each other. On the other hand if we are talking about Romo taking him to his home and practicing with him that may be too far.

I said veteran backup, which Vinny was at that point in his career. When we signed him we didn't know we were going to cut Carter yet, he was the starter by accident.
