I know this comment will draw me some 'durs' and 'dislikes' but I'm glad shit is blowing up in there face.

The Cowboys front office needs to be publicly ridiculed for their ineptness.

Once the season ended I said we weren't winning the division or even making the playoffs next season. I saw this shit show coming a mile away because this is what ALWAYS happens after the Cowboys have a good season. They never build on the previous year's success because they're always cutting corners and prioritizing the wrong things.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lawrence back out either, If he's still able to back out of that contract agreement and go find a landing spot with a real winner, more power to him. He's wasting his time in Dallas.
I will not give you a dur or dislike. But I will correct your spelling. It's "their".

It's not about losing the player so much. It's about the lack of competency. It's about the disrespect we showed. It's about the fact that this was our plan and now we are left without one. And it's that even if we cobble together some sort of plan B (like signing Wagner, not that I think that wasn't already on the table) that this front office has again proven it can't be trusted to build a winning franchise.

We are a sad sack of mediocrity and it's going nowhere anytime fast no matter who the coach is. Brady bottle lock that shit for when Payton is brought aboard and the same thing happens.
Sure it's about the player. People wouldn't care if we lost Connor Williams in the same manner.

The difference is I don't think as much of Gregory as others. Does it really matter if they put some protective language in the contract at the end? If the language needed to be there -- and I'd argue with this guy it does -- who cares when it's put in. The other party is either going to accept it or not.

My Brady Bottle Lock is that he's going to have all kinds of issues at Denver just like he did here and never live up to his talent despite a few flashy highlights.

We just lost our 2nd best rusher and our best WR in the course of a few days, it really isn't that great right now.
I'm with everyone on Cooper. I didn't like losing him at all. But he's far more productive and far less of a headcase than Gregory.

The Falcons are starting to look pretty appealing right about now.

They're still in a bit of a rebuild but at least there's an actual GM in place who's actually being held accountable for the failure/success of the franchise.

I am with you on this one. I honestly do not see the problem with all of this. Gregory is a problem waiting to happen. If protective language was put in the contract that hurt his feelings I'm ok with him walking. When you're about to give an individual with a history of problems a bazillion dollars there needs to be protection.

They absolutely fucked up. You don't reach an agreement and then be like, oh by the way will you accept this clause that you surely won't like? It's a bullshit thing to do and also dumb because they should have found out way up front if it was acceptable. That way, you have the ability to have a plan in place ahead of time instead of scrambling to find a replacement at the last minute. There's a reason this team hasn't won jack shit in two and a half frigging decades and this level of incompetence is emblematic of that. Fuck this team. I'm beyond sick of this shit.

It was pure amateur hour, but since I'm ambivalent about Gregory, fuck it.

They're about to fuck up even worse when they take the 14 million they were allocating to Gregory and spend it on 4 Olawale's.
