Thank you, kind and humble servant.
Thank you, kind and humble servant.
Goodell will assign it to John Mara for an objective review and decision.
I'm working on it, my inside sources here in Iowa don't have an answer for that :)cowboydba?
We will anxiously be awaiting your answer.I'm working on it, my inside sources here in Iowa don't have an answer for that :)
Why would they balk to begin with? Restructuring deals always benefits the player because he gets more guaranteed money.I honestly think with the addition of Hardy and being close to a championship, neither Tony or Jason will balk at restructuring.
They better, they both know damn well and good that the clock is ticking on them both. If we make another playoff run and look on the verge while Hardy goes off for 10-15 sacks, these two better do what it takes to keep him and Dez. Brady took less so that the Patriots could afford to add more pieces, you'd think someone like Romo or Witten who have never won but have certainly made more than enough for their great grandkids to live comfortable would do the same.I honestly think with the addition of Hardy and being close to a championship, neither Tony or Jason will balk at restructuring.
GTFO my field!I'm gonna go ahead and consider you partially time-stampwned.
Sort of. The way I'd look at it is if the right DE is there at 27 you still take him. Hell that has always been my opinion. If the value is there take the DE, let him learn for a year and then move on from Hardy. If the DE isn't there. Not a big deal, make sure Hardy behaves himself most of the year and then get a contract worked out with him. It's always easier to resign your own guys then it is to sign guys in free agency. Just make sure you lock Hardy up before he hits free agency next year.So we do still need a DE.
Can't count on him being here any more than a guy like Melton or other 1 year contract guys we've had in the past (such as Kevin Hardy, ironically).
Why? We'd actually save cap space on Dez by getting a long term deal worked out. Same thing with Hardy.Yeah, I don't see them being able to sign Dez long term and also re-sign Hardy.

I expect some homering from you, pal.
I was hoping to get him locked up for a few years and kind of take advantage of the shitty situation he is in. Still, I'm thrilled to have him and hopefully he will grow to love this place and sign a new contract after a dominant year.I also don't like that it's a one year deal. But at the money he is getting I'm glad it's not long term, if that makes sense.
Overall very happy they got a deal done.
So what?So we do still need a DE.

Duly noted.
