That is the scary part.

If this is them playing with a great sense of urgency, what the fuck?

Last night the defense looked like it didn't give a shit after they blew it after having the Bills backed up into their end zone and they got out of it.

Then the offense just sputtered and looked retarded the rest of the night.
This is just the shit excuses he gives the Jones boys, that they buy it is what really is disturbing

Um, so why is a "clean path" necessary?

Yeah that part of his argument makes no sense, everyone knows Jerry is going to do what he wants no matter what. If anything I think this forebodes Jerry using even one playoff win to extend Garrett

Relax, deep breaths....
Garrett WILL be gone after this season. Even if we were to scrape out a wildcard win. Jerry can't take it anymore. And he knows that fans and the media would raise insane hell and grab their pitchforks and torches if he extends Garrett.
Most probably disagree with me, but I think he goes after a top name. Someone with winning in mind. I really believe he realizes he's old and time is against him (as someone else here mentioned). Looks to me like he's desperate and damn near in panic mode to try one more time after this season.
Maybe I'm reading his reactions wrong, and maybe it's wishful thinking. But to me he looks panicked and exasperated.

I think we all seem to forget Jerry didn't extend him for a reason. It's not like Jerry has suddenly discovered this year that Garrett is an average coach. I think Jones clearly demonstrated to Garrett that he is not altogether pleased with his job performance and he expected better this year. He got the same old stuff and now that's it for Garrett.

I mean, yeah the fanbase is through. People were chanting "fire Garrett" at the end of the Bills game. They didn't point it out on the telecast but if you went to the game it was pretty clear. However, Jones was headed in this direction.

That’s pretty much my sentiments as well. I think the search for a new coach has already started. I have apprehensions about whether there might be an accidental violation of league rules pursuing some of the coaches but I hope the attorney son can keep them on the line.

Okay. Just play better and stuff. 123 go cowboyz!
:lol

Does he truly believe this or does he realize it's bullshit and just feels he has to say it?

Bennett doing the coaching staff's job. Should have been done years ago. Problem is, we don't have that kind of staff. And that's what's frustrating about Richard. I thought he would bring in an edgy attitude that demands guts, heart, and winning. Being that he came from that culture in Seattle. The polar opposite of Jerry's glitzy atmosphere.
Good lord, I miss Jimmy Johnson's "Win and cut the bullshit" method.

I think he has a bigger fish in mind and if Kris were to get them in the playoffs that would get in the way of his plan. I believe he wants a clean path to hiring this next coach.
Kris will get a courtesy interview to satisfy the Rooney Rule. Then it's on to the serious candidates.

Fisher get hacked? WTH?
Fisher has been pretty damn critical of the team and especially Garrett since the Pats game

I'm glad someone with skins on the wall said something but it's not like Bennett is setting the world on fire in that game. He had 5 tackles, no pressures, no sacks. Decent day but not stellar. But whatever...
