You dont know anymore than any of us do. He could very well be deciding on whether to bring him back as a HC.

Even if Jerry intends to give Garrett a front office job, dragging this out makes no sense at all to me. What's so complicated about moving him in to his new position and moving on with the HC search?

I hope Aikman’s recent bashing of the organization and the way it’s run has scared away any big name coach.

If Jerry has to pick from the second or third tier in order to get a coach desperate enough to deal with the circus, maybe that’ll at least pressure him into making some concessions and changing finally.

My best guess is because Jerry is a moron and attention whore. And he's probably trying to get him in the front office. He also probably doesn't want to pay him his final two weeks paycheck or whatever is left.

How many times does this have to be said? I know I've said it myself at least a half dozen times. Jerry is an attention whore. He loves dragging things out for the attention. He likes announcing things when no other team does. It's what he does. It's what he has done in the past. It's what he's always done. It's what he'll always do.
