In search of their next head coach following the firing of Anthony Lynn, the Los Angeles Chargers have requested permission to interview a pair of offensive coordinators — with the
New York Giants' Jason Garrett and the
Buffalo Bills' Brian Daboll, according to two NFL Network reports on Monday night.
Garrett, who was fired as the coach of the Dallas Cowboys a year ago, compiled a record of 85-67 in more than nine seasons. In the postseason, the Cowboys were 2-3.
The Giants ranked 31 out of 32 teams in yards per game on offense (299.6) and points per game (17.5).
Daboll, who has been Buffalo's OC for the past three seasons, has helped the Bills rank second in yards (396.4) and points per game (31.3).
