It was always the way to go.
Maybe passing is the way to go.
What people don't realize with all the fawning over the Eagles is that their defense has taken a pretty big hit from last year.

good observations. It always felt like they were winning games because of 250 yards of rushing. Which left us no chance of matching up very well. Hopefully Clark/others and philosophy can change that, at least by the second time we play them. What people don't realize with all the fawning over the Eagles is that their defense has taken a pretty big hit from last year.
They lost 2 of their top 4 (arguably top 3) DL in Josh Sweat and Milton Williams, Nakobe Dean is going to miss significant time and his replacement last year Oren Burks left in FA, Darius Slay and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson are gone.
That's five starters, two in the secondary, and the DB replacements are uninspiring in Adoree Jackson and Sydney Brown. Jihaad Campbell looks good but he's a rookie and has some warts of his own in coverage, so I could see their defense struggling a bit early on, especially against the pass.
The issue is that their offense returns everybody more or less, although they completely reliant on Barkley last year and if he misses any time or regresses as the year goes on due to his age, they're going to struggle big time.
On paper they still look strong because the offense is intact and they still have their big defensive names (Carter, Baun, the two rookie DB's) but if you dig a little there is a lot of risk of regression, especially defensively.
They better hope they let it heal right. Donor cartilage grafts are pretty serious shit.Anybody practicing in full should be playing, the Diggs stuff seems like gamesmanship.
And I'm ok with that. He either will or he won't. I don't need to know. It's not like I'm betting on the Cowboys.Anybody practicing in full should be playing, the Diggs stuff seems like gamesmanship.
Tomorrow they won't really practice, so if they're full participants today it sounds like this is just to finalize that they're healthy enough to go.
Maybe he will and Guyton will be active. Hard to say. And its hard when you weren't able to have a real competition because of the injury. The weird thing is, from the Schotty and Adams interviews yesterday, I got the idea that Thomas would play.
Maybe I misunderstood or it's all subterfuge.
I think Thomas is active either way, he's basically their backup LT now.Maybe he will and Guyton will be active. Hard to say. And its hard when you weren't able to have a real competition because of the injury.
My guess is both guys will be active. We just don't know which one will start. And again that's ok. I don't personally care and it's better to keep the Eagles guessing. Especially since both OT's have very different strengths and weaknesses in my opinion. May just come down to our game plan for this game and which guy is a better fit for that game plan. The only thing I don't want to do is some rotation bullshit. I hate that with olineman.I think Thomas is active either way, he's basically their backup LT now.
You spelled twitter wrong.
Oh that sneaky sneaky Schotty.
I'm not clicking that link, you degenerate.
