Maybe KC for Manziel...he'd be good with Reid.

Oh, FFS. Lemme guess, you're a good fan, right?
All I know is we have a 34 year old choking qb with a broken spine. See how that works out for us.

Spagnola doesn't like the pick. "You don't need 3 first round picks on your offensive line". :dunce
I don't mind an O-lineman, I just don't like the type of O-lineman we drafted. I was my higher on our first last year because we took a very physical O-lineman.

If there's a silver lining... it's that apparently no one wanted Manziel that badly.
For good reason. He's probably falling out of the first round.

EDIT. The Chiefs at 23 or Browns at 26 need QB's. Bridgewater is a better prospect though.

Romo pulls through in the clutch finally. Jerruh's love for Romo superceded Manziel.

Do the guys the 49ers took remind you of Martin? They aren't similar players in any way what so ever. The 49ers built their O-line around physically dominating O-lineman. Show me a report that refers to Martin as physically dominating?

Fine Martin will be a solid starter. I just have no faith he will ever be more then that.
Jon Gruden said he was the best OL in the draft actually, didn't he?

STRENGTHS: Very good at keeping his feet underneath him while keeping his butt low to handle both speed and power. He does play with good quickness (but not explosiveness) off the snap, showing knee bend and core strength to anchor, as well as the lateral agility to mirror more athletic defenders.
He also shows better athleticism than you might think when blocking on the move, demonstrating above average straight-line speed to get to the second level, as well as the nastiness to bury his target into the ground.

Sounds pretty physical.

I'd love JFF but for years we have wanted them to draft linemen from big schools on both sides of the ball. I'm good with it.

I think Martin is Marshall Yanda. Probably a better OG, but can play OT.

I wasn't talking about not taking him for us. More about the waaaaah, I hope he beats us part.

It is a good, smart pick...no doubt I wanted Manziel though. I mean this is the type of draft strategy we've been begging for, so I appreciate that.

You guys wanting to trade up for JF know that we won't be able to address what's broke on this team, the DL, with the picks we'd give up to move up. Unless we traded a pick from next year.
