I'm a bit lower on Gannon and Morris but I'd be perfectly fine if they're the hires, especially if they bring some of the stronger assistants from their previous staffs with them (Rallis with Gannon, Ulbrich with Morris).

If Bowles is let go he has to be near the top of the list.

It's interesting looking at the timeline the last time this happened with Nolan:

Jan. 3 (Sunday) - last game of 2020
Jan. 8 (Friday) - Nolan fired
Jan. 11 (Monday) - Quinn hired

I'd be shocked if there was a hire before about a week from now given all the moving parts: Flores will be in the running for HC roles, Vance Joseph (impacts Leonhard) and Raheem Morris will be interviewing for HC spots, the possibility of Bowles/Glenn still being fired, etc.

The only way they move extremely quick is with a position coach or someone currently out of the game, or in college.

Yeah, I don't even expect them to move super fast on the hire. There are interviews to be done, and some candidates may even still be working.

I just wanted the firing done ASAP so Jerry couldn't somehow talk himself into giving Eberflus another chance.

And as far as the assistants, I don't think you can keep anybody significant except Whitecotton, although obviously ideally you'd leave it up to the next DC.

All of the guys who followed from Chicago (Borgonzi, Curtis, Overstreet) have to go at a minimum.
