Lamb/Pickens is a very impressive 1-2 punch at the WR position. Tolbert as a 3 is nice as well.

Maybe a slight overpay, but nothing major. I like the move.

Maybe everything works out but there are a lot of variables in those spots.
Some of it will probably work out, some of it won't, but ultimately I think as long as everything doesn't go wrong our pass rush will be enough for the unit to be generally decent and middle of the pack.

Okay, I hate this "choir boy" argument. Was Darren Woodson a choir boy? Moose? Emmitt? Is Tyler Smith?

Of course not.

No one says you have to be some meek, pacifist altar boy 24/7. But you do have to be a responsible professional off the field and not kill your team with mistakes and penalties on it. That's what we mean.

Landry had to deal with that balancing act, Johnson did not give a shit if they misbehaved as long as they were smart. Again what was so bad in Pittsburgh other than their QBing?

One thing's for sure: I never want to hear them use the word "culture" again. The only glimmer of hope is that he's playing for a new contract and will therefore be on his best behavior.

I also like the fact they pulled the trigger now so he can be a part of the offseason program and training camp instead waiting until the last minute like we usually do.
100% agree with this. Get him out there with Dak and Lamb as early as possible.

Fair enough, but there was little risk on that one.
I recall there being some consternation around the Amari signing.

He was drafted #4 in 2015 and shipped out three years later.

It had to more to do with his passion for the game, IIRC. I don't think he had behavioral issues with the Raiders. I could be wrong.

True and there were definitely whispers coming from the raiders that maybe his attitude wasn't wonderful.
