But we get a year of his services.
True but from the Steelers perspective they get a better pick and a year earlier.

I will admit, I'm pessimistic. But I just can't remember a trade like this working out for us that well. Hopefully, I'm wrong.
Some of it will probably work out, some of it won't, but ultimately I think as long as everything doesn't go wrong our pass rush will be enough for the unit to be generally decent and middle of the pack.Maybe everything works out but there are a lot of variables in those spots.
Okay, I hate this "choir boy" argument. Was Darren Woodson a choir boy? Moose? Emmitt? Is Tyler Smith?
Landry had to deal with that balancing act, Johnson did not give a shit if they misbehaved as long as they were smart. Again what was so bad in Pittsburgh other than their QBing?Okay, I hate this "choir boy" argument. Was Darren Woodson a choir boy? Moose? Emmitt? Is Tyler Smith?
Of course not.
No one says you have to be some meek, pacifist altar boy 24/7. But you do have to be a responsible professional off the field and not kill your team with mistakes and penalties on it. That's what we mean.
One thing's for sure: I never want to hear them use the word "culture" again. The only glimmer of hope is that he's playing for a new contract and will therefore be on his best behavior.Okay, I hate this "choir boy" argument. Was Darren Woodson a choir boy? Moose? Emmitt? Is Tyler Smith?

Amari Cooper?I will admit, I'm pessimistic. But I just can't remember a trade like this working out for us that well. Hopefully, I'm wrong.
Cooper from the raiders? We gave up a 1st and I admittedly hated it but it definitely worked out well for us.
100% agree with this. Get him out there with Dak and Lamb as early as possible.I also like the fact they pulled the trigger now so he can be a part of the offseason program and training camp instead waiting until the last minute like we usually do.
I recall there being some consternation around the Amari signing.Fair enough, but there was little risk on that one.

He was drafted #4 in 2015 and shipped out three years later.
