Our offense should be pretty good but I wonder about our defense a lot. I think that will crash and burn us at some point.
I think our pass rush will be good enough to carry the defense in the regular season as long as the offense is roughly 2021-23 caliber.

We still have arguably the best defensive player in the league, Osa might be a borderline Pro Bowler, Fowler put up double digit sacks last year, plus we have a deep group of guys who could contribute in EZ, Thomas, Kneeland and maybe Williams.

The biggest questions are health at CB and whether or not Mazi/Toia can hold down the fort against the run. Other than that I'm confident with our edge group, 3T, LB and safety.

Barring significant injuries I'd be shocked if our defense wasn't at least middle of the road with that pass rush group.

For a team that doesn't do anything of significance in FA, I would think they would value their picks a little more. We're not going to get a 3rd or a 4th compensatory pick for him when he leaves. He's probably going to have about 40 receptions for 500 yards. He'll leave and we'll get a 6th.
He's definitely gonna have better stats than that unless he gets hurt.

Outside of injury he'll get more numbers than that. These numbers are lower than even Tolbert had and Pickens is significantly better.

I think our pass rush should be pretty good but LB, CB, and DT all have the potential to be pretty big problems.

I’d almost guarantee that no other team was offering a 3 for this nut job

Highly doubtful, if no injury is involved.

CB is all about the injuries, on paper the top 4 is strong but when will Diggs be back? When will Revel be full go?

I think Elam can hold down the fort for a month or so but it's all up in the air.

I'm not concerned about "DT" because Osa and Thomas are a strong 3T combo, but obviously the issue is whether Mazi/Toia can be respectable.

I feel good about LB, Murray, Sanborn and Liufau is fine when you're often playing with just two on the field, and Overshown will be back at some point.

There is absolutely no chance he only puts up 40/500 barring significant injuries.

80/1200 is more likely than 40/500.

If he's anywhere close to that, I'll be happy. But I still don't like giving up a 3rd.

I will admit, I'm pessimistic. But I just can't remember a trade like this working out for us that well. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

Maybe everything works out but there are a lot of variables in those spots.
