As I mentioned that speaks to an imbalance of leverage, not a universal right of employers. If teachers were irreplaceable they could get away with a lot more.People are terminated every day because of airing there opinions in public on matters that may reflect badly on their employers. There have been a few examples very recently such as a teacher here in McKinney when she supported a police officers actions. Employers have a right to curtail public relations matters that are adverse (or presumed adverse) about their employers business or taking a public position on controversial matters. In the Bryant matter he is attempting to manipulate the employer by emanating bad PR connotations of his employer. It is not professional.
It's a lot easier to be professional when you're a billion dollar multimedia juggernaut with infinite channels to disseminate information from. What you're saying is that the Cowboys can talk about Dez Bryant but Dez Bryant can't talk about Dez Bryant. Bullshit.
"Professionalism" in this context is an expectation for people to keep their head down and play ball. By that measure every union and every employee who protested their treatment is unprofessional.
Dez's best leverage is in public outcry. Dallas's is in carefully worded press releases. Neither deserve to claim a moral high ground. They're both operating within the rules of negotiation. Expecting Dez to negotiate in a way that benefits the Cowboys is silly.
