My guess is he would play SS, with Woods at free.Geathers with his zero career INT's is sort of a meh move to me. I guess he might be decent but I'm not sure if he is more a depth safety then an actual starter. But that's fine, we need 4 good safeties on the roster.
Is he really that much better than Jeff Heath? I mean I much prefer Heath in a limited role but I'd probably still want to draft a safety to pair with Woods. My guess is he would play SS, with Woods at free.
His tackling is much better than Heath's, IMO.Is he really that much better than Jeff Heath? I mean I much prefer Heath in a limited role but I'd probably still want to draft a safety to pair with Woods.
Beasley is a great athlete, just limited top end speed. Very quick and agile. But I know, it is the white thing.Geathers with his zero career INT's is sort of a meh move to me. Cobb is intriguing though. In his prime he was an exceptional slot receiver. I'm not really sure why he fell off the last few years. But honestly even those years were pretty good for a slot receiver except last season. If healthy I certainly think he can do what Cole Beasley did and maybe even a little more. I don't think he is as limited athletically as Beasley was.
Then this guy must be a tackling GOD. Were you not aware that a couple weeks back we were all thoroughly schooled on what a great tackler Heath is?His tackling is much better than Heath's, IMO.
He isn't 5'8" either. It's not just a white thing but once the ball is in Beasley's hands he isn't particularly elusive.Beasley is a great athlete, just limited top end speed. Very quick and agile. But I know, it is the white thing.
My apologies. I had completely forgotten about that. Can a mod please delete my post? Then this guy must be a tackling GOD. Were you not aware that a couple weeks back we were all thoroughly schooled on what a great tackler Heath is?
This is absolutely true. Although it's not a high bar to reach. He isn't as athletic as Heath though, which might be hard to believe. His tackling is much better than Heath's, IMO.
He has played both, but a far-less threatening SS would fit the bill for him. Can't have Woods uncomfortable. My guess is he would play SS, with Woods at free.
I can't say that surprises me, Heath takes some awful angles to the ball carrier. Seems like he either lays a guy out, barely touches him or whiffs completely.
It can be so frustrating how he can miss so badly, but then he'll make a really nice game saving tackle or get a pick randomly.I can't say that surprises me, Heath takes some awful angles to the ball carrier. Seems like he either lays a guy out, barely touches him or whiffs completely.
He seemed like he had potential when he signed but after watching him a couple of years as a full time starter, he's not the answer at the position. It's not like he hasn't had the chance. It can be so frustrating how he can miss so badly, but then he'll make a really nice game saving tackle or get a pick randomly.
