Garrett just has the darnest luck with defensive schemes, I guess. What is this? His 4th full year and he's on DC #3? How many first time coaches get to survive multiple coordinators without blame like this guy?But for all the credit we are giing to Kiffen and Marinelli, where is the blame?
This defense has:
- allowed four 400 yd passers
- allowed 51 points in a game
- had 4 T/Os and still managed to lose the game
Even some of the wins we've had have not been that impressive due to the defense. Anyone remember the season opener? We had a buttload of turnovers in that game as well and still barely won.
But yeah let's blame the HC or QB for the failures of this team instead of the GM who put this shit storm of a team together and hired all these supposed geniuses to laed this vast talent that Carp is going on about.
Jason as OC: offense failures aren't his fault, he's not the head coachYou can't blame the coordinators without blaming the HC. It doesn't work that way.
Who cares. He is history and the blown games are history. I am on next week now. What do you think a coach like Parcells would say down by 1 with 12 seconds left?
This is the kind of attitude you want your players to have.Who cares. He is history and the blown games are history. I am on next week now.
This is the kind of attitude you want your players to have.
Only, this isn't just LT's attitude. He really does have short term memory loss.
Lamenting over bovine juice is pointless. Plus It's bad for your health. This is the kind of attitude you want your players to have.

The man was also running for his life again. The OL struggled with the Lion's pass rush.Romo looked like shit yesterday, and has in more than half the games. He is playing scared, just like Garrett is coaching scared. Funny how that works.
Not at all. But it's not like we heads and shoulders better than everyone talent-wise either. I've clearly stated our main issue is with Jerry. In hiring his comfort-level HC, in ignoring glaring positions on the team and wasting draft pick after draft pick and in the loser atmosphere his promotes.I see...so then Garrett is blameless...thanks Schmitty Jr.
If someone makes a crap sandwich don't blame the bread for why it tastes like shat. The talent is good enough to win...definitely better than the shit show Parcells took to the playoffs his first year. Better coaching would make a huge difference.
Stop being an apologist. The man was also running for his life again. The OL struggled with the Lion's pass rush.
For once, you and I are in total agreement.I'm all for blowing this team up and starting from scratch. See what kind of picks we can get for Ware, Witten, Dez, and Romo. Hire a GM that knows what the heck he's doing (pipe dream I know). Fire Garrett and Hire a new coach. And start anew.
You are correct. I do think an Andy Reid could come in here and do measurably better with the same offensive talent. But you can also bet that Reid is going to prioritize the OL and DL, which will go a long way.Not at all. But it's not like we heads and shoulders better than everyone talent-wise either. I've clearly stated our main issue is with Jerry. In hiring his comfort-level HC, in ignoring glaring positions on the team and wasting draft pick after draft pick and in the loser atmosphere his promotes.
He's somewhere in the soft middle between 10 and 20 or so.I don't even think Garrett is average to be honest.
He is in a group with people like Leslie Frazier.
Yeah, I'd love to have an all-timer great HC like Parcells here again. The talent is good enough to win...definitely better than the shit show Parcells took to the playoffs his first year. Better coaching would make a huge difference.
